Features: medium difficulty for the steep gradient. Beautiful and varied landscape, We go in sequential order from the dense forest to the wide panorama of the valleys of the sea, the excitement of downhill in the deep canyons of Scala and S'Arga, the high cliffs and Mediterranean scrub of flat sandy codula, until you get to the beautiful beach of Cala Luna and the blue of the sea among the most beautiful of Sardinia ... What more could you want from a single trekking ?!?
Description: Stone indication it embarks on a very steep slope that goes for about twenty minutes in what looks like the enchanted forest of the Lord of the Rings .... It is missing only the trees begin to walk ...
A clear deviation to the right (reported by some stone and fairly intuitive) breaks out of the woods on the path of cobblestones, in a far-reaching views over the valley.
Begins a steep descent on the canyon ridge with hairpin zigzags ending, once downstream, in a short flat stretch of woods and Mediterranean bush yet. The trail is now entirely cobbled and requires some attention in the support of feet, especially in the ruinous descent towards the impressive bleak abyss of Scala and S'Arga which flows in the majestic codula Luna. The landscape changes dramatically within minutes.
It 'good to remember the passage entry for return, however, marked by a sign on the rock wall, since just after few steps the canyon disappears from view and blends between high ridges.
You walk for about twenty minutes on the flat codula, sometimes very wide and narrow and winding sections. After a very rainy winter, you can find trunks and twisted vegetation that force us perform various zig-zag along the way of codula. The terrain here is entirely sandy, (unlike the cobblestones of Codula Sisine) although the beach is still far.
It finally comes to the only existing tenement which in summer is used as a resting spot, just minutes from the beach of Cala Luna, always beautiful and not crowded in the early spring period of low season, if not by naturalists and climbers more sfegatati.Da here, Moreover, The path to Cala Sisine lasting 5 ore, and that after an hour and a half of ascent leads in S'Archittu, a spectacular natural rock arch.
The return to Buchi Arta is much more difficult for the remarkable ascent, which requires more time and pauses for breath. Per fortuna sia il canyon che il bosco permettono di camminare quasi sempre all’ombra e con una temperatura più fresca. Alternatively, Cala Luna you can take the trek to Cala Fuili, with less altitude but longer (2 hours and a half), or the ferry to Cala Gonone (times depend on season).
