Access: Immediately behind the beach of Cala Luna (accessible by boat or by hiking from other Codula Fuili, by ro. Arta holes or behind codula), is a block used as a resting spot. From here a path sloping, the shade of a natural tunnel of branches and plants, with an indication of a stone to "Cala Sisine".
duration: an hour and a half each for the rise, an hour to return downhill.
signposting: Reported with paint bubbles, but not necessary. The trail is unique without deviation up rock arch.
Features: No particular difficulty of the track and for the orientation. Mixed path of cobblestones and earth rises on the ridge of Cala Luna and goes inside in southwest. A bit 'of attention is required on the cobblestone ground limestone, as typical of all of the hiking area. The vertical drop is a little 'leg-breaking for the steep and steady climb, strongly discouraged in the hours of sunshine as the Mediterranean does not allow to walk in the shade for most of the duration of the trek!
Description: The trek begins with a steep climb, initially the shade thanks to the dense vegetation. The trail climbs the ridge south side of Cala Luna with a series of switchbacks, offering fine views of the beach from above.
After about twenty minutes it scollina and suddenly flat now heads south-west for another twenty minutes, while the panorama opens on the interior mountains hiding the view of the sea. There is not around no sign of civilization and the silence of nature is sovereign. The beautiful spring blooms.
Another steep and steady climb leads, finally, al S’Archittu, an extraordinary natural rock arch within view out to the left from the main path (which continues towards Cala Sisine) in the stony ground in a few tens of meters leads in this gigantic monument. Also reappears behind the beautiful sea of the Gulf of Orosei, that acts as a beautiful arc background.
A photo is a must, especially that the arc base that allows you to compare the small human size with those majestic nature!
The return is far less demanding, being the trek all downhill towards Cala Luna.
